The Best Beaches in Paros for a Slow Summer Day

From the sculpted granite of Kolymbithres to the windsurfing waters of Golden Beach — our guide to the island's most beautiful shores.

The Best Beaches in Paros for a Slow Summer Day

Paros is blessed with a coastline of sandy coves, sheltered bays and long golden stretches. Whether you want calm water for swimming or a breeze for watersports, there is a beach for every mood. Here are the shores our guests return to again and again.

Kolymbithres

Across the bay from Naoussa, Kolymbithres is famous for its smooth granite rocks, shaped by wind and sea into natural pools and sculptures. The water is shallow and clear, ideal for a gentle morning swim.

Golden Beach (Chrysi Akti)

On the island's southeast coast, Golden Beach is a long stretch of fine sand and one of the best-known windsurfing and kitesurfing spots in the Cyclades. Come for the lessons, stay for the sunset.

Santa Maria

North of Naoussa, Santa Maria has turquoise water, sand dunes and a relaxed beach-bar atmosphere — a lovely place to spend a long afternoon.

Monastiri

Tucked into a sheltered bay near Naoussa and named after the small white monastery above it, Monastiri offers calm water and a peaceful setting.

A tip from Pili Pala
