Villages of Paros: Naoussa, Lefkes and Parikia
Whitewashed lanes, a fishing harbour and a mountain village with marble paths — discover the character of Paros, one village at a time.

Part of the charm of Paros is its villages. Each has its own rhythm, from lively harbours to quiet hillside squares. These three are essential for every first visit.
Parikia
The island's capital and main port. Behind the waterfront lies a maze of whitewashed lanes, small shops and the Panagia Ekatontapiliani — the 'Church of a Hundred Doors', one of the most important Byzantine churches in Greece. Parikia's seafront is also a wonderful place to watch the sunset.
Naoussa
Once a quiet fishing village, Naoussa is now the island's most stylish corner. Colourful fishing boats bob in the old harbour beside the ruins of a Venetian fortress, while tavernas, boutiques and cocktail bars fill the lanes in the evening.
Lefkes
Set in the green hills of the island's interior, Lefkes was once the capital of Paros. Its marble-paved lanes, neoclassical houses and the grand church of Agia Triada make it one of the most beautiful villages in the Cyclades. From here, the old Byzantine path leads down through the countryside toward the village of Prodromos.
Make it a day
Start in Lefkes in the cool of the morning, walk part of the Byzantine path, swim in the afternoon and end the day with dinner by the harbour in Naoussa.
